AppsUpdater 1.1
AppsUpdater 1.1 is out now. This update focuses on update sources, app settings and clearer diagnostics, making everyday checks require less manual sorting.
Official Sources
AppsUpdater is better at finding official update sources. Checks were improved for Microsoft AutoUpdate, Electron generic/GitHub/S3 feeds, Homebrew Cask and custom official links.
When an app can be updated from a reliable source, AppsUpdater tries to surface that route earlier and separate it more clearly from additional fallback options.
App Settings
App settings gained filters, bulk actions and source search. This helps work through a large library faster, choose the right source for a specific app and reduce noise in regular checks.
The found updates list is more compact too: source, local and available versions, last check time and errors are easier to read in one place.
Clearer Errors and Manual Flows
Source diagnostics are more detailed. AppsUpdater now separates 404, 403 and unsupported Electron providers, making it easier to understand why a source did not return an update.
For complex appstorrent packages, the app chooses a manual installation route and waits for the user to finish the process. This is useful for archives and installers where automatic app replacement may be unsafe or ambiguous.
How to Update
If you already use AppsUpdater, version 1.1 is available through the built-in Sparkle updater. The current AppsUpdater build is always available from the app page.
